my personal approach to creativity

 The first thing I do when I start a project is to look for inspiration. I'll go to social media such as Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram to look for posts which match the energy of the project I'm trying to create. Once I get a feel for what I want I'll start a sketch or a rough draft. I'll look back at the posts I've found and other references I might need often to incorporate things like anatomy, style, and mood. My favorite project of mine was this art project I made for class. The project is a cardboard cut out of two gar, my favorite fish. I think it turned out quite cute!

Today in class we brainstormed for a practice literacy analysis prompt. It was tough thinking of things, but I know that if I were going to actually continue and write the analysis it would make the whole process much easier.

The perfect day with someone I care about

 The perfect day with someone I care about would start with getting lunch. Then afterwards we'd spend some quality time together. Maybe we'd watch a movie, or bake cookies. We could go out and do something exciting but I'd rather stay in the comfort of my own home. To end the day we'd have a nice dinner, preferably something cooked at home. Today in class we finished our one-pager assignments. I'm pretty happy with how mine turned out, it looks pretty accurate to the layout that I had in mind. I did see another student draw a phoenix on their assignment though, and I kinda regret choosing the sun because the phoenix is way cooler.

gender roles

 Today in class we discussed gender roles. It was interesting to hear everyone's views on gender, and I think that was the most vocal discussion our class has had. I liked today's lesson because I'm more aware of gender roles than I am of my family history or my ethnic culture. Especially because I am a more masculine presenting woman who is attracted to other women. Nothing out of the ordinary happened today, but for lunch we were served cheese rippers which are my favorite!
