 A moment I felt I had the power to make a difference in someone else's life was when the 8th graders played with the marching band at a football game. I went into my freshman year scared and without many friends. Joining marching band fixed that, and it made school a bit more bearable. Knowing this, I try my best to influence the 8th graders to join a club or organization. It doesn't even need to be band related to have a positive impact on someone.

The perfect day with someone I care about

 The perfect day with someone I care about would start with getting lunch. Then afterwards we'd spend some quality time together. Maybe we'd watch a movie, or bake cookies. We could go out and do something exciting but I'd rather stay in the comfort of my own home. To end the day we'd have a nice dinner, preferably something cooked at home. Today in class we finished our one-pager assignments. I'm pretty happy with how mine turned out, it looks pretty accurate to the layout that I had in mind. I did see another student draw a phoenix on their assignment though, and I kinda regret choosing the sun because the phoenix is way cooler.

gender roles

 Today in class we discussed gender roles. It was interesting to hear everyone's views on gender, and I think that was the most vocal discussion our class has had. I liked today's lesson because I'm more aware of gender roles than I am of my family history or my ethnic culture. Especially because I am a more masculine presenting woman who is attracted to other women. Nothing out of the ordinary happened today, but for lunch we were served cheese rippers which are my favorite!
