 Something I've always been curious about is the ocean. The ocean is so vast! We've explored more of our moon's surface than our ocean. We discover new species all the time too! Some creatures we only know about from when they've washed up dead on some beach. There is still a lot to learn about our ocean, and that knowledge both fascinates and frightens me. In class today we took our final exam. I did not learn much from taking the exam, I did do better than I thought I would however. Some of the questions in the quizzes I've taken in this class in the past have been so hyper-specific, or it just tricks me in general.

 The best gift I ever received was my computer. My dad bought me and my sister laptops last Christmas. I use it mostly to play games with friends, and have made many awesome memories on it. I also had to use the computer for an online class over the summer though, which would have been very hard to complete without it. Today in class we read letters 20-25 from the book The Color Purple and answered questions about it. I found the introduction of Shug Avery's character very interesting. 

A time I couldn't stop laughing was when the band director wasn't here so the orchestra teacher took over class. The orchestra is playing a few pieces that require band instruments, so a few of our top players are playing with them. Rehearsal time with them is limited, so the orchestra teacher took the missing director as an opportunity. Unfortunately my good friend, a bassoon player, decided to sit between me and the trumpets that day. Have you ever heard a bassoon before? The trumpets started giggling and didn't stop, and soon that laughter spread to all of the brass.  Today in class we presented our The Color Purple videos. It was interesting to see everyone's videos. There were things I could definitely improve upon I learned, but the next time we make videos I will remember these things and make my video even better.

 Something that I can't stop thinking about is Godzilla! I love Godzilla, and all affiliating giant monsters. Godzilla has deep and poetic movies, but Godzilla also has silly comedic movies. Although I haven't seen all of them I still think he's pretty cool, and is the perfect blend of scary yet funny creature. I have a large collection of Godzilla merchandise too, and expanding that collection is one of my greatest joys. A figure I've really wanted for a long time is hopefully re-releasing soon, and I've been looking forward to that! Today in class we practiced answering questions in quizzes, and read 2 more chapters of The Color Purple. I thought the test taking strategy we were shown was really eye opening. I will definitely be using it for future tests.
